Il primo film della serie sarà “L’incredibile storia dell’isola delle rose”, diretto dal regista italiano Sydney Sibilia.
Non c’è niente di meglio che iniziare le nostre Movie nights con questa incredibile storia vera ambientata proprio in Emilia-Romagna!
Era il 1 maggio 1968. Giorgio Rosa, ingegnere bolognese, pianta sulla sua isola artificiale una bandiera arancione con 3 rose rosse su sfondo bianco, dichiarando Stato indipendente una piattaforma in acciaio di 400 metri quadrati costruita in acque internazionali, sei miglia marine al largo di Rimini, e facendo nascere così il mito dell’Isola delle Rose.
Durante gli anni ‘60 soprattutto Rimini comincia ad affermarsi in Italia sia come località turistica che come luogo di possibilità, di divertimento e di un certo liberismo.
Il vero nome dell'isola era Insulo de la Rozoj (derivato dalla sua lingua ufficiale: l’esperanto).
Questa storia ha solleticato l’interesse di cronisti e scrittori di mezza Europa: chiunque in quegli anni era venuto a conoscenza di questo posto unico e irripetibile che attirava turisti da ogni angolo del mondo e che lascerà anche tutti voi a bocca aperta!

There’s nothing better than start our Movie nights with this incredible story settled right in Emilia Romagna!
It was the 1st of may 1968. Giorgio Rosa, Bolognese engineer, set on his own artificial island an orange flag with three red stripes on a white background, declaring as Independent State a steel platform of 400 square meters built in international waters, six nautical miles from the Rimini’s shore, and giving birth to the myth of the Island of Roses.
During 60s, Rimini starts to distinguish in Italy as one of the best locations both for holidays both for finding possibilities, fun, and a certain liberalism
The true name of the Island of Roses was Insulo de la Rozoj ( from the island’s official language: Esperanto)
This story tickled the interest of reporters and writers from half of Europe: everybody in that period came to know about this unique and unrepeatable place that attracted tourists from all corners of the world and will leave also all of you open-mouthed!
